CA babysitter gets 10-year sentence in abuse case

A 21-year-old babysitter has been sentenced to 10 years in prison after pleading no contest to molesting two brothers in Southern California over an eight-month period.

Los Angeles County prosecutors say Jordan Liu was sentenced last week after entering his plea to two counts of lewd acts upon a child.

Authorities say Liu was hired by the victims’ mother through a caregiving website. The boys, ages 3 and 8, told their mom about the alleged abuse after she read them an article about sexual abuse charges against former assistant Penn State football coach Jerry Sandusky.

Liu allegedly warned the boys everyone would get in trouble if they talked about the abuse.
