After being away from California for four years, Megabus returns to the Bay Area with a special introductory fare of one dollar. The buses on the route are double deckers with wifi and power outlets. Passengers can take the bus from San Francisco, Oakland or San Jose to Los Angeles. In the first week of service beginning December 19, all fares are $1 one way. After that, passengers can get fares between $1 and $25 online depending on how early they book. Compared to Greyhound buses, a single trip from the Bay Area to Los Angeles will cost at least $35. Visit megabus.com for more details.
