A cold front from Alaska is bringing cold temperatures and rain to the Bay Area. The National Weather Service forecasts rain in San Francisco Saturday night through Sunday morning.

Snow has fallen in elevations above 3,000 feet. Ski resorts are gearing up to welcome skiers.

PG&E warns people not to use heaters intended for outdoors inside their home. They also say that barbeques, charcoal, and propane patio heaters might release carbon monoxide.
