An Australia man is credited with saving a dog’s life with CPR.

The reluctant hero was recently reunited with the pooch he saved.

Seven network reports “Salty” the jack russell terrier was hit by a car in southeast Australia, passerby Steve Hunter saw salty lying on the road injured and not breathing and flew into action, performing CPR and chest compressions.

“His breath wasn’t real flash, I’ve got to tell you. I got as close as I could without physically touching him … he’s not my type…”

“He’s brilliant … a life saver.”

Salty is now on the mend and doing well.
