San Jose at-risk missing person: 67 year old man

(SJPD) The San Jose Police Department is currently seeking the public’s assistance in locating Meng Linggong, 69, of San Jose. Linggong resides with family in the 1700 block of Parkview Green Circle in San Jose.

Linggong was reported missing at approximately 11:23 P.M. on Monday, 5/28/2012, by family members. Family stated that Linggong had been missing for approximately 4 hours prior to calling the police.

The missing person investigation has led officers to the Alvison Marina National Wildlife Refuge, where at approximately 2:40 A.M, they located the missing person’s phone. Search and rescue units have responded to that area to assist in the search. A tracking canine has also been summoned to the scene to assist.

Linggong suffers from dementia. Linggong was last seen wearing dark pants and a dark shirt.

A “Be-on-the-lookout” message was broadcast to all SJPD officers as well as Santa Clara County. Officers have checked all local hospitals, the jail, Santa Clara County Emergency Psychiatric Services, as well as the Valley Transportation Agency. There is no indication of foul play in this case. Officers have no known possible destinations for Linggong.
