23-year-old Anna Li was born and raised in the United States. In the upcoming gymnastics Olympic Trials, she will participate in balance beam and uneven bars.
Li helped UCLA to win the NCAA team championship in 2010. After her graduation, she decided to pursue her dream – the road to the Olympics.
Anna Li’s parents have been coaching Anna since she’s was small, and both parents themselves participated in the 1984 Olympic Games. However, they are not putting pressure on Anna. Instead, they are simply trying to help her reach her goal.
Fifteen athletes, including Anna Li, are competing against each others in San Jose this week . All of them are hoping to make the Olympic team and represent the U.S. at the London Olympic Games this summer.
