KTSF Announces Title TV Media Sponsorship of Emil Chau Wakin's San Francisco Concert
Largest U.S.-based Asian-language broadcaster to feature special programming to celebrate popular Asian entertainer

October 11, 2007 (San Francisco) - KTSF Television, the nation's largest Asian-language broadcaster, announced today its title media sponsorship of the Papillon VI concert series, "Wakin Chau in Concert 2007," on Sunday, November 18, 2007 from 8:00pm to 10:30pm at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco.

A celebrated singer in Asia and beyond, Emil Chau Wakin is known for his down-to-earth style and acoustic guitar performances. He remains one of the best-loved entertainers in the Chinese music industry for over two decades. Emil has released over 40 records in Mandarin, Cantonese and English.  His platinum albums such as You Make Me Happy and Sad, The Flowery Heart, Music Brings Us Together and Emil & Friends have won numerous awards in China, Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan.

KTSF is a one-stop resource for all things Emil, including special programs and appearances.  Leading up to the November concert, KTSF will air a behind-the-scenes concert special and feature Emil as a guest on its popular nightly talk show "Talk Tonight."

  • Concert Special - "Behind the Scenes with Emil"
    KTSF will air an hour-long special about Emil Chau Wakin, providing viewers with an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at his career and the making of his U.S. tour. The special will air on Saturday, October 20 from 5:00 to 6:00pm in Mandarin with Chinese subtitles.

  • "Talk Tonight" Guest Appearance
    Emil Chau Wakin will make a guest appearance on KTSF's live evening talk show, "Talk Tonight," on Thursday, November 15 to discuss the current state of the Chinese music industry and his 2007 U.S. concert tour. Hosted by Orlando Shih, the evening Chinese-language talk show program airs from 11:00 to 11:30pm.
