Please join us in learning more about one of the fastest growing segments of the Asian-American Market: Asian-Indian Americans.
The U.S. Asian-Indian market has been growing rapidly over the past decade. According to the Census Bureau, Asian-Indians are one of the most affluent ethnic groups in the country, with a median annual household income of $63,000. That's nearly $21,000 more than the national average. The number of Asian-Indian Americans now approaches two million, and they are strongly concentrated in Silicon Valley.
Part of an international high-tech migration, the San Francisco Bay Area Indian immigrants are America's most successful immigrant group. They have not only changed California demographically, but virtually re-shaped Silicon Valley. Roughly a 150,000 population, this young and vibrant group has played a pivotal role in powering Valley's digital revolution. Many Indian immigrants have excelled as notable entrepreneurs, managers and venture capitalists.
Professional and social networks are significant in Asian-Indian America. Featured in this conference are leaders from prominent Indian community organizations: Yogi Chugh, VP of Federation of Indian American Associations; Talat Hasan, Chairperson & Trustee of Indian Community Center; Deepka Lalwani, Founder of Indian Business & Professional Women; and Natasha Raja, Marketing Director of Network of Indian Professionals - SF Bay Area.
The all-star lineup also includes leaders from the top media and ad agencies that specialize in marketing to the Asian Indian consumer. Blue-chip marketers such as Wells Fargo, EchoStar and Western Union will also share their knowledge and insights on how to effectively reach this group.
Tariq Khan, a veteran marketer in Asian-Indian America, will open the conference with a powerful market overview presentation. And Dr. Meera Srinivasan-Schaeffer will give a talk on cultural characteristics. Serving as keynote speaker is Kailash Joshi, Co-Founder and Past President of IndUs Entrepreneurs (TiE) and Co-president of Indian Community Center.
The conference will be held in the heart of the valley, at Hotel Valencia Santana Row, a European-inspired neighborhood that has shopping, dining and entertainment.
The conference is sponsored by the Asian American Advertising Federation and is open to all interested parties. Admission, which includes breakfast and lunch is only $100 for 3AF members and $125 for non-members. Registration and program information are available online at www.3af.org.
The conference is co-sponsored by EchoStar Communications Corp and Wells Fargo.
