KTSF is seeking a Research Analyst to use quantitative and qualitative research tools to track and analyze competitive television & digital landscape. Primary responsibilities consist of analysis of demographic trends and Nielsen rating reports. Additional duties involve developing sales materials, providing marketing support for programming and news departments as well as managing the research content on web, mobile and social media. Participate in new media tracking and research projects. Create national, local market and cable presentations to position KTSF programming to best advantage. Respond to client requests for research data. Monitor and manage research materials of Asian American consumer market. Requires 2-3 years of experience in television, cable, or advertising. Must have experience with Nielsen software including Ariana, Galaxy Navigator and Profile DMA. Strong math skills. Experience with Nielsen Scarborough or similar consumer research tools. Strong verbal, written, analytical, presentation and interpersonal skills. Advanced problem solving skills and ability to work professionally with all departments. Ability to organize, manage, control workflow and meet deadlines.
Skilled with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Television News Writer for live Mandarin or Cantonese language newscasts, weekdays. Must speak/write Chinese and English fluently. Previous writing experience required.
Duties include, air switching, recording program and commercial feeds, timing programs, digital server operations, maintaining program and transmitter logs and other responsibilities as required. Dependability and attention to detail are essential. Knowledge of FCC regulations and one year of broadcasting operations experience required.
