KTSF seeks Digital Journalist who will be a multimedia content producer. You will report, shoot, and edit stories and video for our newscasts and digital and social media platforms. You must be able to quickly react to breaking news and help execute news department’s breaking news plan and work well with news management on execution of KTSF News strategy and tactics. You must also be detail-oriented and exceptionally well organized, have good people skills, a positive/can-do attitude, take initiative, be a problem-solver and must be able to work in a team concept. You must be able to write clearly and succinctly and “think in pictures,” must be a social media innovator, and have top tier LIVE reporting skills. Excellent news judgment, source development, research and writing skills required, as well as social media expertise. A reporter who excels at breaking news and live coverage in news. You must be able to develop story ideas as well as work on assignments from producers. You must be energetic and engaging on air and have a proven track record of being able to work off script when necessary. KTSF is seeking a part time Production Assistant who is responsible for ensuring the continuity of work flow and communications regarding the production of the live Cantonese and Mandarin language newscasts. Responsibilities includes: Inputting information in ENPS rundown. Knowledge of non-linear editing ; produce news teases with good production value. Maintaining accuracy and balance in all content being produced especially teases. Strong time-management skills: Ability to meet pressing deadlines, collect information, gather resources in a timely manner, check for accuracy including but not limited to story information, sponsorship, commercial breaks, back-timing of program. Logging and recording news source from KPIX. It is critical that the P.A. verify daily use of free-lance videographers used by KPIX. If KTSF needs such footage, P.A. contacts free-lance immediately with request for an invoice. Assist in monitoring total running time (TRT) during live broadcast; update director, producer, crew. At all times, this job requires timely and accurate communication prior, during and after the live production with all departments involved in producing the news. News Director may assign training of new staff. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements include: Fluent in English and Chinese. Excellent interpersonal skills.
