KTSF Cares raises fund for Gum Moon Women Residence

(Excerpted from gummoon.org and KTSF)

Gum Moon Women’s Residence provides transitional housing facilities for women in transition. In 1984 Gum Moon established a community outreach project known as the Asian Women’s Resource Center (AWRC). The AWRC provides a wide range of services for low to moderate-income monolingual, and bilingual Asian immigrant women, men, youth, and children. The AWRC offers opportunities for cross-cultural experiences, self-improvement and leadership development which are open to all members of our community.

Baoping Zhang’s visit to California turned into a nightmare. Her husband took their 5-month-old daughter and kicked her out of the house. With the help of non-profit organization Gum Moon Women’s Residence, she received food and lodging, and finally won the custody for her daughter.

Please support Gum Moon to help more abused women. Please mail your donation to KTSF Cares, 100 Valley Drive, Brisbane, CA 94005. Donations are tax deductible and KTSF will match up to $3000.
