San Francisco – The San Francisco District Attorney’s Office is providing training to staff of the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in San Francisco on trafficking, domestic violence, hate crimes and victim services. The purpose of the training is to empower consul general staffs to recognize these crimes and assist victims to seek justice and access services.
“Ensuring that vital victim services are available to individuals, regardless of their immigration status, allows witnesses and victims of crime to better aid in the District Attorney’s prosecution and recover from the harm they may have suffered,” said District Attorney George Gascón.
This event has grown out of the growing partnership between the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office and the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in San Francisco and the shared realization that working together will serve victims of crime and make San Francisco safer.
