Have you finished your holiday mailing? If not, don’t panic. You still have one more chance to have those last-minute must-have greeting cards and gifts delivered to your loved ones on Christmas Day.

Augustine Ruiz, a public affairs officer for the US Postal Service says “If they use express mail on Friday (tomorrow), there is still a good chance it arrives on Christmas Day. Actually we are the only delivery agency that delivers on Christmas Day.” However, Ruiz stresses that this service does not apply to remote destinations.

“It’s not guaranteed everywhere. You could be living in a remote area somewhere, it may not get there overnight. It may take two days probably,” he said. “But they will let you know once you get to the counter. You show them the zip code and if you pay for express mail, the clerk will tell you whether or not it will get there next day or not.

Ruiz said that some post offices may close later than normal on Friday. He suggests that people log onto www.usps.com <http://www.usps.com> to check the hours of their local post offices.
