A memorial for the Nanjing Massacre was held in San Francisco’s Chinese Cultural Center today. Many Chinese people attended, including victims who lived in China during the war.
Some immigrants from China said they never saw related videos in their homeland so they would like to understand more about this historical event.
The history should be preserved, some participants said, but should not be overwhelmed by the massacre. They hope people’s anger would not be passed on to the current generation in Japan.
